The TAATIQ Method
Six stages, one loop
Find the problem. Prove it matters. Decide what belongs. Test it. Run it. Measure it. Then go again. The six stages spell the name, and everything else in the method sits under them.
1 | UnderstandTune inWhere does the business hurt, and how material is it?Output: An evidence-backed opportunity
2 | ValidateAssessIs the problem material, and can we act responsibly?Output: A validated opportunity
3 | DecideAlignWhat is the simplest intervention that creates the required value?Output: One prioritized opportunity and a decision
4 | ExperimentTestCan real people use it?Output: Evidence from use
5 | OperateImplementCan it run safely in the real workflow?Output: A controlled live pilot
6 | ProveQuantifyDid it create measurable value?Output: A business case for what happens next
The two A's. Assess asks: is this worth doing? Align asks: what are we going to do about it? The distinction is held by the question, not the initial.
Where it sits. The Design Council's Double Diamond describes Discover, Define, Develop and Deliver. The TAATIQ stages map onto it without claiming equivalence: TAATIQ adds materiality, exposure, readiness, trust, reversibility, intervention selection, the cost of inaction and measured value. It sits beside how a team already innovates.
